If you’re in the mood for a slow, immersive dining experience, Zeniya is worth carving out time for. Fair warning: meals can stretch to two hours, but it’s totally worth it. We dropped by for lunch once and were thoroughly impressed with all the dishes, especially the crispy, golden shizakana (awabi karaage) and the takiawase, featuring wagyu beef with misansho, kamonasu eggplant, and tamamiso paste. The kashi (warabimochi during our visit) served as the perfect bookend to a satisfying meal.
